Privacy Policy

StrangerProof takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

• Store URLs you submit for scanning. We take screenshots and analyze them. Screenshots are stored securely and not shared.
• Email address (if you choose to provide it). Only used to send a follow-up reminder. We never sell your email or add you to a mailing list.
• IP address hash for rate limiting. We hash your IP immediately and never store the raw address.
• Payment data is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record). We never see or store your card details.

Analytics

We use PostHog for basic product analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. PostHog may set cookies on your browser. We do not use session recording. Analytics data is not linked to your store data or shared with third parties. You can opt out by using your browser's Do Not Track setting or a cookie blocker.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to third parties.
• We don't use your store data for training AI models.
• We don't track you across the web.

Data retention and deletion

Scan data (screenshots, results, and reports) is retained for 12 months after the scan date, then automatically deleted. If you want your data deleted sooner, email us and we'll remove it within 7 days. Payment records are retained as required by law.

Your reports

Reports are accessible via a unique URL that is practically impossible to guess. Only you and anyone you share the link with can view your report. We don't list or index reports publicly.
